8. Levity Ball (4:39)
I got my invitation to the annual levity ball
Seeing the location was within the mirrored room
Walking in my room I found I had nothing to find
I got into my evening wear and left my clothes behind
I sat down on the stairway seven hours at a time
Writing all of this poetry that I knew would never rhyme
The memory I knew I must have had when I came in
Was of some varied places where I've never ever been
Then in came a cake all decorated in my name
With four paper brown candles are all spelling out this name
The clock was passing out from time to time, I saw it all
The beginning of the ending of my first levity ball

Un morceau dans la lignée de Living, avec l'harmonica d'Alice, toujours aussi enivrante. Au bout de 2:35, la musique se calme, pour devenir un peu plus enfumée, avec les murmures funèbres de Mr. Furnier, puis elle se revigore pour partir un peu dans le vague. Enfin le thème du début ressurgit. Un peu plus structuré, du bon vieux rock comme on n'en fait plus !

Voilà un vieux titre live qui vaut le détour. Dès le début, l'instru donne le vertige, on a l'impression d'être sur des montagnes russes, sans aucun son autour. Après onreste dans le délire psychédélique... En faisant très attention, on peut percevoir quelques voix du public, mais la qualité de l'enregistrement laisse à désirer, je préfère la version studio, disponible uniquement sur le coffret "The Life And Crimes Of Alice Cooper" (1999).

Le tout début de la chanson rappelle légèrement "Immigrant Song" de Led Zeppelin (un de mes groupes préférés). A part ça, "B.B. On Mars" est loin d'être une de mes préférées.

Ah ! "Reflected" ! Si vous avez déjà entendu ou écouté la chanson "Elected" sortie en 1973 sur l'album "Billion Dollar Babies", cette chanson vous semblera très familière, puisque la mélodie (en début de couplet) est la même ! D'après moi, c'est la meilleure chanson de l'album.
